Welcome to my webpage!
This album is dedicated to all those inmates I've met over the last 13
years. You have encouraged and inspired me with your decisions to walk with the Lord in less than ideal circumstances.
Go with God... and He will go with you! Thanks for always asking me to record songs for you. Therein culminates the idea for
this album.
I was led in the decision to make this album through many learning experiences
over the last twelve years. I followed all the wrong directions in pursuing this project, including a negative experience
with a record label in Nashville. I finally found the right path for me when God began
pouring original songs into my heart and mind,(besides two of my favorite songs I obtained permission to record), and
led me to a man named Robert Varner, who literally is a 'one man show' when it comes to producing, recording, and playing
instruments. Thanks to him, his wife, Yvonne, the initial use of Teen Challenge recording studio, (followed by Robert's
home studio), a man named Jerry Wallace who played sax on "Solitary Girl", and a very gifted CD designer and duplicator
named David Horn of Desert Melodies, it has all come together. Thanks to all my supporters over the years, especially my husband,
Harold, and my children: Josh, Johanna, and Joelle Swarny, and Jessica Swaim. Also to Chaplain Jerry Hayden and his wife Rose,
two of our very best friends, and the ones that brought me originally into prison ministry, which later led to jail ministry
as well. Thanks to each friend who supported me over these past 10 years, including Sherry and Roy Kokensparger,
Joyce Price, Cindie Conley, Renee Heiden, and Joyce Funk, to name a few. Thanks to Pastor Lamar Donovan,
(a former inmate and walking testimony ), for always encouraging me to go the extra mile! Also thanks to Lance
Fairchild for the wonderful photos he took for my album cover. He's passed on now and we're all sorry to see him go.
He was a wonderful man of God and a very giving and caring individual who gave new Christian artists a price break
on their pictures. The people who worked on this album with me certainly have talent on loan from God (to borrow
a phrase from Rush.)
(For some reason the sound isn't working on here anymore, so please listen at: myspace.com/cathyjaggers)
Thank you!
